HOURCRUNCH

Hourcrunch · every number comes with its receipt

About Hourcrunch

Free calculators for the time and pay sums hourly workers do every week, with the working shown.

Hourcrunch is an independent site. It adds up a week of clock-in and clock-out times, works out overtime and gross pay, finds the hours between two times, converts military time and decimal hours, turns a salary into an hourly rate and back, and itemizes take-home pay for Ohio, Texas and Florida. There are two savings and retirement tools too: RMD and APY.

Every tool is free, works on a phone and needs no sign-up.

What we care about

  • Getting it right. Every calculator is tested against worked examples with known answers before it ships, including overnight shifts, breaks and rounding. The rules, sources and dates are on how we calculate.
  • Showing the working. Every result prints as a receipt: each line has its arithmetic, the rule behind it and, for pay and tax, an official source and the date we checked it. You can redo any line with a pencil.
  • Your privacy. Calculations happen in your browser. See our privacy page.
  • No advice. Results are estimates for information only, not tax, payroll, legal or financial advice. Your employer’s payroll, your tax return or your IRA custodian has the final figure.

Who reviews the pay and tax pages

The pay and tax pages are tested against official worked examples. A review by a named, qualified tax professional is planned, and we’ll name them here once it’s done.
